Slumdog Millionaire is a rousing journey from extreme poverty to great wealth, the tale of a boy working his way up from rags to riches, and helps the audience to the end. Actually, it is not the palatable musical rags-to-riches “Annie,” but this is the uplifting and eye-opening story of a young man who risks everything for the true love. By the way, the film was presented at the Toronto Film Festival and received the People’s Choice Award.
The tale of how poor Indian teenager Jamal Malik who turned into a competitioner on the Indian version of American “Who Wants to be A Millionaire?” — a try made without money in mind, more exactly, an attempt to prove his feelings for Latika, a passionate fan of this show.
Actually, a film comes along and grabs you… the realism grabs you, the story inspires you, the little episodes make you smile, as well as in the end origin for the main character – that is one of such films.
